Best Beauty of 2017 Awards from Perfect365

Award season is here, and I am so excited to be part of showing some mad love to brands and people we love in the beauty world. The Perfect365 team created a survey for our app users to take which allowed them to vote for their favorites–from beauty products, brands, and even influencers. Over 2300 Perfect365 app users took the survey, and we are loving the results!

2017 was another strong year that brought out crazy competition between brands to release the best highlighters on the planet. We tried many, and there wasn’t enough time in the world to try them all. I got my hands on MAC Soft and Gentle a few years back, and I will have to admit that it is still a favorite on my list.

Benefit Cosmetics is famous for their boxed blushes, and Hoola, one of their boxed products, won among our users. The NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna has always been a staple in my kit and is still one that I reach for when I want an all over bronzed look.

Perfect365 Beauty Editor’s Pick: Dr. Dennis Gross

Clinique offers something for everyone in their skincare line, which makes it no surprise that this was the top pick. During one of my recent shopping trips to Space NK in San Francisco, I picked up several products from Dr. Dennis Gross that I have been using daily–the Alpha Beta Glow Pads (I use Extra Strength for oily skin) are a must-have for complete exfoliation.

2017 was another huge year for contouring (will it ever slow down?), and the contour queen Kim Kardashian West herself launched the KKW Powder Contour Kit, which I was pleasantly surprised with and use almost daily.

My pick for best concealer is the Kylie Cosmetics Skin Concealer, which is like Tarte Shape Tape and MAC Pro Longwear mixed together. It is the best!

2017 was a year when I was on the hunt for the next perfect foundation. While some came close, I found that my favorite Estee Lauder Double Wear liquid foundation is still a winner in my beauty book.

When it comes to my skin and primers, I don’t have much luck. Either the texture is too oily, too slick, or doesn’t last. After trying the most expensive primer I could find, the Sisley Double Tenseur, my skin loved it. Go figure!

This item is a tough one because there are so many skin sensitivities that I encounter when I use powder. I really like the MUFE HD Microfinish Powder on my concealer to bake it. It creates a smooth look and brightens my under eye area.

MAC may have a classic blush at a good price, but my cheeks scream with delight when I bust out my YSL Blush Volupte. There’s something about it that separates it from other blushes. It looks expensive!

Not many people know about COOLA and their amazing line of sun care products. Cruelty-free and doesn’t irritate my skin, I love the setting spray from this brand. It keeps my full foundation on through an entire festival day out in the sun.

Sure, I own the infamous Morphe 35O palette along with many others, but I was really impressed with the interesting shade range from Kylie’s Nice Palette from this past holiday. I can create multiple looks without being stuck using a bunch of brown shades.

This was a tough call. I really love Benefit’s Roller Lash, but Chanel gets the prize from me. Everything from the quality of the formula to the brush makes it a perfect mascara.

These are all great eye pencils, and the Urban Decay 24/7 has been around for probably a decade. My heart belongs to the high-end Burberry pencil due to its longevity and easy glide-on texture.
