I’m barely ripping into the packaging of all the beauty gifts I received this year–and we’re talking A LOT of makeup thanks to my friends who know exactly what’s on my list. We all know 2017 had a ton of new beauty to offer us, and the credit card statements are still haunting me from all of the Kylie Cosmetics and Fenty Beauty releases. Can you believe I’m already excited about new beauty releases for 2018? Jesus, take the wheel, I can’t handle what is coming this year!
I promise to make it easy on you and your wallet and include some drugstore releases. We already announced in our Beauty News section in the Perfect365 app that MAC will now start carrying Beautyblenders in their standalone stores and online (woot!), and we’re anticipating more from Kylie Cosmetics (foundation, please!). Here are my eight best picks for new beauty releases for 2018! To give credit to cruelty-free brands, I have placed my kissing bunny logo next to each product for your convenience!
Chantecaille Year of the Dog Highlighter – January
If you know me, you know that dogs are my life. As an owner of two rescued Pit Bull mixes, I know all about the life of helping animals in need.
Chantecaille is a beauty brand that cares a lot about animals, and in fact, they release new products every year that help fund organizations like the Rainforest Alliance. This year, the brand will release The Year of the Dog iridescent highlighter, and I am ready for it! It is supposed to launch this month, but I have yet to see it on their website. I haven’t heard much about the charity that this product will help fund, but I will announce it in our Beauty News section in the Perfect365 app, so keep your eyes peeled! Heck, I may even do a live review on Facebook Live.
A Mario x KKW Beauty Collab
Kim Kardashian West is already flawless without makeup, but when her makeup artist Mario touches her with his magic brushes, she turns to pure gold.
I recently received the KKW Beauty Powder Contour & Highlight Kit as a gift and I am totally impressed by the quality–and even that vegan brush in the kit is good. The powder contour shades somehow manage to look a lot more natural and blended than my other used brands–I wonder what the secret is! The queen of contour really did a great job on this product, I must say! With Mario at the wheel of a collab with her brand, I am sure it will be a hit. No word yet when this collab will appear on my credit card statement.
L’Oreal Pure Sugar Face Scrub – Purify & Unclog – Available Now for $13
I received this beautiful face scrub from L’Oreal in my Influenster Vox Box, and was happy to find out this is now on the drugstore shelves! There are a few “flavors” to choose from: Smooth & Glow, and Purify & Unclog. I received the Purify & Unclog scrub and I just love using it three times per week.
The scrub is made from three natural sugars and kiwi seeds, peppermint and lemongrass oils, and you can use it to scrub your lips. It actually tastes really good, but I don’t recommend that you eat it, I was just curious! My skin looks tight and clean and feels baby soft after using it. I look forward to my scrub days!
ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow – Jan 5
This week you can score the new collection of ColourPop’s Super Shock Eyeshadow! These amazing new popping shades are all so beautiful that it is very hard for me to choose which ones I want to buy. Lucky for all of us, they are only about $4 each, so why not splurge on these little pretties?
I’ve got my eyeballs set on those rusty red and copper shades, how about you?
St. Ives Cleansing Stick – Available Now for $10
My skin is screaming for this St. Ives cleansing stick in the matcha green tea and ginger formula. This detoxifying blend is made with 100% coconut oil and is paraben-free!
All you have to do is wet your face, rub the stick on the skin and massage in. Then, just rinse away! This is GREAT for traveling since I always seem to find my cleansers leaking at the bottom of my luggage. I even manage to find my cleansers leaking in my gym bag, too! I can definitely see this cleansing stick happening in my future.
Other formulas include Cactus Water & Hibiscus for hydration and Apricot and Manuka Honey for brighter glowing skin. Each stick is $10, and I am sure with a keen eye, you can find some good promos to grab more than just one.
Kat Von D’s Divine Collection – February
After hearing the news that Kat Von D confirmed ten launches for 2018, I kinda freaked out. One of those launches particularly stood out for me–The Divine Collection to honor the late drag queen and actress, Divine, best known for her role as Babs Johnson in the cult classic film Pink Flamingos.
There is no Babs without extreme blue eyeshadow, which Miss Von D brings to life in the up and coming palette. The palette itself is amazing to look at, and even includes Divine’s signature eyebrows on the palette’s mirror. This girl cannot wait!
Violet Voss Hashtag PRO Eyeshadow Palette – Available Now for $45
If you’re looking for that one eyeshadow palette to clutch on to the rest of the year, this is your gal. These gorgeous cranberry and warm and cool tones are stunning for any occasion, and if you are still looking for another gift for your makeup obsessed friend who has been in Tahoe during the holiday break, this is perfect. These vibrant colors are not playing–the pigment in this palette is insane.
NARS Spring 2018 Velvet Lip Glide Duos – Coming Soon to Sephora, for $16
If you’ve tried NARS’ Velvet Lip Glides before, we know you’re obsessed. They feel so amazing and to know there are hot limited edition colors on the way, we’re ready for them!
Californication/Staying Alive (on left) and Rapture/Night Together are two sets of limited edition minis that we are hoping will launch in time for Valentine’s Day.
That’s it for now, folks! I hoped you thoroughly enjoyed my list of my top eight beauty product launches for 2018! Let me know in the comment section below what you are anticipating to launch this year.
