Today, I will be giving you a rundown of my everyday glam makeup routine. This is a look that I find myself always going to on a regular basis. Whether it be for work, running errands, or just wanting to look put together, this is the look that is meant to enhance your features and leave you feeling confident to conquer the day.
This is my skin routine:
Product: CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
After testing what seems like a million moisturizers, I have finally found my holy grail moisturizer. I’ve always suffered from sensitive dry skin that was never happy with the moisturizers I would apply on it. It wasn’t until I saw my dermatologist that I discovered CeraVe.
I had tried other dermatologist recommended moisturizers but I hated the super greasy feeling they left on the surface of my skin. This lotion provides a great barrier on the skin without sitting on top of the skin. It seeps in and leaves your skin feeling comfortable and breathable.
This product has literally saved my skin and has made applying makeup enjoyable again. Before this product, my skin was so dry and broken out that it made applying makeup very difficult and uncomfortable. As soon as I started applying CeraVe on a daily basis, my skin cleared up and was healthy again.
Product: e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer
Once the moisturizer has set, it is time for primer. If you are on a budget then e.l.f.’s Mineral Infused Primer is for you.
I used one pump and immediately I was in love with its velvety consistency. This product glides over the skin and provides a flawless and smooth canvas for your foundation by filling in your pores and fine lines.
Product: L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation
While in college, and then immediately starting work right after college, I was always on the hunt for an affordable foundation that would hold up the entire day without any touch-ups. This foundation does just that.
L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Glow foundation provides great coverage, is affordable, and long-lasting. It is one of my go-to products that I always have in my makeup collection.
To apply the foundation, I used one of my latest steals from T.J. Maxx–My Beauty Spot Expert Blending Brush. When I came across this brush and was hesitant to purchase it. I think I placed it in my basket and took it out and put back in several times until finally, I decided to buy it. This brush was only five dollars and I am so glad I decided to buy it. With its curved shape and gentle bristles, it has become one of my favorite brushes for applying foundation. It leaves a flawless streak-free finish without requiring lots of blending.
Concealer & Powder
Product: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer & Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder
Price: $7.99 & $5.99
Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer is a natural everyday breathable concealer. When set with a powder, this concealer will provide a creaseless all-day wear. This is a lightweight concealer that I love to apply down my nose, around the corners of my nose, the center of the forehead, in the very inner corners of my eyes, and on the sides of my mouth. For my skin tone, I have to use the shade “fair clair” and use it to highlight these places of my face. To set it all in place, I use the Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder in the same shade. This is a great combination!
Product: Bronze Beauty Bronzer Palette from T.J. Maxx
Price: $3.99 (Item may not be available–here is a similar 10-pan bronzer palette)
To bring back some life and bronze to my face I use the Bronze Beauty Bronzer Palette. This bronzer palette has a beautiful range of bronzer shades, perfect for all skin tones. The shades glide on smoothly and are very pigmented. I prefer combining the four shades on the far right of the palette and applying this combo in the hollows of my cheeks, along my forehead, jawline, and my nose. It leaves your skin looking beautifully bronzed and sun-kissed.
Product: LORAC Pro Palette 3, NYX Wonder Pencil, Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
Price: $ 44.00, $4.50, $6.99
I start off the eyes with the “Cool Taupe” shade in the LORAC Pro Palette 3 all over the lid and along the lower lash line. By doing this, it creates a wearable daytime smokey eye and helps define my eyes without a full-blown smokey eye or heavy eyeliner. Picking up the shade right below, “Medallion”, I apply this in the inner corner of the lower lash line and brush it over the lids. By applying this shade, it brings in some shimmer and light to the eyes. From here, I take a fluffy brush and the shade “
Picking up the shade right below, “Medallion”, I apply this in the inner corner of the lower lash line and brush it over the lids. By applying this shade, it brings in some shimmer and light to the eyes. From here, I take a fluffy brush and the shade “Dk Brown” into the crease. To create some definition, I pick up that same shade on a definer brush and apply it close to the outer third of the lower lash line and drag it out to create a very soft wing.
To make the eye appear larger I applied a nude colored pencil along the lower lash line. This brightens up the eyes and makes them appear larger. To finish off the eyes, I applied my all-time favorite mascara, The Falsies Waterproof Mascara in the shade “Very Black.” Want strong, bold, and long looking lashes? Girl, you don’t know what you’re missing out on if you haven’t tried out this mascara. I have been using this mascara since high school and have not found a mascara that gives this false lash effect. I love bold lashes and this product is very dark and is buildable. It definitely delivers!
Product: e.l.f. Brow Pencil, NYX Tinted Brow Mascara
Price: $2 & $7
I have recently fallen in love with this e.l.f. brow pencil in the shade “Natural Brown.” I admire that the shade is a cool-toned brown and the formula is very easy to blend and work with. This product tames the brows and creates defined yet natural looking brows. I have literally picked up at least five of these already!
To set everything in place, I have also been loving the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in the shade “Brunette.” This works as a hairspray for the brows. It holds up the hair exactly where I want them to be without it looking too harsh. It has a great long-lasting formula that will help keep your brows in place all day long!
Blush & Highlight
Products: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Pearl & Milani Baked Blush
Price: $38 & $7
I love the look of very glowy skin and this Becca highlighter is one of the best I have ever tried. I could go on about this product but I know I don’t have to say much about it because you all know how incredibly amazing this product is.
The glitter in this product is very fine and is buildable. It can provide very subtle shine or intense highlight. For me, I love applying it on the tops of the cheekbones, along the center of my nose and just on the tip of my nose. For blush, I use the Milani Baked Blush in the shade “Luminoso.” This blush is very pigmented and leaves a very subtle shimmering pop of color on the cheeks.
Product: Milani Lipstick in Matte Innocence
To complete this look, I usually go with a soft pale pink lip color. One of my favorite drugstore pink nude lip products is this Milani lipstick in “Matte Innocence.”
This product is perfect for all-day wear and it is non-drying which is what I love the most about it. It feels comfortable on the lips and I know I don’t have to worry about it going anywhere throughout the day.
I absolutely love this routine for an everyday makeup look! Some of these products I have loved for years and others have been my recent finds that I can stand behind and can recommend.
I love finding products that I can get the most use out of and these are definitely some awesome products that can be used on a regular basis.
