(NEW YORK– September 12, 2017) Perfect365, Inc., the company that is leading the digital beauty evolution, with its free digital beauty platforms loved by celebrities and more than 100 million users, has partnered on the Hellessy show at New York Fashion Week with celebrity makeup artist, Gucci Westman. For years, the process of developing makeup looks for models on paper face charts has been an industry staple of professional and elite Makeup artists. As the beauty industry evolves and the influence of technology becomes more apparent, professional makeup artists are also employing digital beauty as a way to streamline their process. According to a recent study from Poshly, 32% of makeup artists are now using digital makeup apps to communicate their makeup looks to their clients. In addition, elite makeup artists like Kabuki and Gucci Westman are taking iPads armed with Perfect365PRO to fashion events like NYFW.
Gucci Westman is one of the world’s top celebrity makeup artists with clients that include Drew Barrymore, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anne Hathaway. Gucci has been a consultant for many years for top makeup brands and has always been sought out for her expertise to develop colors and create looks for each season. She was Artistic Director at Lancome, Global Artistic Director at Revlon and currently is consulting for skincare specialist brand SKII. For NYFW S/S 2018, she designed the makeup look for womenswear brand Hellessy. As part of this partnership, Perfect365 users can try on the look created by Gucci Westman directly within the Explorer section of the app.
“Developing a makeup look digitally was an enlightening process. I was so surprised how similar what I developed digitally to the real-life makeup application. Perfect365 PRO made developing the look much faster because I could make adjustments quickly without reapplying to the model’s face. Once we had a look we could all agree on digitally, I recreated it on the model’s face,” said Gucci Westman.
“We have been thrilled to have artists like Kabuki and now Gucci Westman using Perfect365 PRO to develop looks for their clients. The beauty industry is evolving, and having elite artists like them on the platform is only a further testament to this,” said Cara Harbor, Director of Marketing for Perfect365, Inc.
